Dear Ecochem students,
I hope you are all staying healthy and out of trouble! I miss you all so much. For those of you who have received and been working on the assignment I sent at the beginning of the shutdown, please continue to do so. For those of you who did not receive the assignment, it is called ECOCHEM COVID-19 PROJECT.
Please read it over and let me know if you have any questions. The best way to reach me is by my school email email@example.com.
This week we are beginning a more structured schedule, including zoom sessions. You can find the schedule for the week, learning targets and things to do in the document called SCHEDULE FOR WEEK OF 3-30 TO 4-3. Please be sure to read the schedule and be prepared to follow the zoom discussion questions.
This long-term assignment will be graded both weekly and at the end of the project, depending on when that is. Starting this week, you will graded for the WEEK by participating in the zoom meeting(s) and discussions according to the schedule. The weekly participation grade is worth 25 points. If you aren’t able to attend the zoom meeting(s) you need to “meet” by email with Mrs. Laraway to earn your weekly grade. You will also earn a project grade worth 200 points.
Since each of you is creating your own project, this grade will be based on answers to 5 questions which will be written by me based on your project. I will assign your individual 5 questions at the end of the project, which tentatively is around April 15th (according to Governor Cuomo).
I am looking forward to seeing all of you sometime this week, hopefully, during our zoom meeting(s).
In the meantime, stay healthy and enjoy the nicer weather by getting outside!
Hugs, Mrs. Laraway
